I really don't understand why people are so unhappy about this.
Nintendo provide the minimum they think will be required for basic system functionality (e.g. downloadable demos etc.) and now I have the option of chucking in a 64gb SD ($20), plugging in any one of the number of external hard drives I already have or, if I feel like splashing out, getting a new HDD. All of those solutions are going to be cheaper than Nintendo including either more inbuilt flash or an internal HDD.
If Nintendo turn around and tell people they can only use Nintendo SD cards and Nintendo branded external HDDs then i could understand the moaning. I DO NOT expect them to do this as I can throw whatever SD card I like in my 3DS.
