Not only is Nintendo still in the console & portable business, whereas Sega dropped out a long time ago, Nintendo owned the competition last generation with units sold. DS & Wii were huge successes, whether people can admit it or not. Sony is bleeding money, and Microsoft lost tons of money for the first few years with the 360. As far as i can see, Nintendo is the only one out of the current three that has a sustainable business model. Sega didn't have a sustainable business model and they failed because of that. We'll see if microsoft & sony can last much longer. I'd bet on nintendo in the long run.

Lots of fails here.

1) First of all, Nintendo isn't going out of business, and the video never said so.

2) Sega dropping out has little to do with the topic at hand. There are other reasons about Sega that caused that.

3) Sony picked up where Sega failed to finish the job. Had Nintendo had no portable offering, they were out of the game, sorry.

4) Nintendo's failures in the core marketplace is not justified by its success in the casual marketplace. They are to be winners in both to be true winners in my eyes.

Only problem is as you said " in my eyes" it doesn't matter what you or I think. What matters is that called profit. When we use our terms to justify a situation we twist the truth to make our opinions matter. So in the last 6 years which company not division made more profit?

Also I see Sony did pick up where sega left off with vita being outsold 10-1 by who?
