Quite frankly, it's a moot point because almost every Wii U exclusive title shown so far isn't exactly pushing visuals to a new level. Do we really need games like Nintendo Land and NSMBU running at 1080p? If anything, it'll make the simplistic environments even less appealing.

Only game that would benefit from 1080p that I've seen so far is Pikmin 3, but they've already stated that it's going to be running at 60fps, so why sacrifice the silky smooth framerate and animations just to appease a couple of graphics whores?
