Animal Crossing, Kirby On Wii in Japan This Year

No word on US releases for a bunch of Wii games.
By Kris Pigna, 01/29/2008
We all pretty much assumed it was the case, but it's nice to have certainty -- Shacknews broke the news that a Nintendo investor report has divulged a couple of game-related announcements. These gems include confirmation that the previously-announced Animal Crossing and a brand new Kirby game for Wii will be out in Japan in 2008.

Additionally, Mario Kart Wii, Wii Music, Super Mario Stadium Family Baseball, and Disaster: Day of Crisis are all heading to the Wii in 2008 as well, with Mario Kart planned for a spring release both in Japan and the US as well as Europe. The report also reveals that a Wii version of the DS game Minna no Joshikiryoku TV (aka Common Sense Training) is in the works for a Japanese release on March 6.

While most of these games weren't included in the list of games planned for release in the US and European regions for 2008, that doesn't necessarily mean they won't make it out here this year. Cross those fingers, folks.

Well, apparently Nintendo has no shortage of first/second party games in '08.  In addition to These two, there's Brawl, Wii Fit, Disaster, and Mario Kart.  I seriously hope AC comes to NA this year, too--I needz mah furniture fix!

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
