well multi-touch is technically possible with a resistive screen but not very practical.  you have to press fairly hard which either means pushing hard with a finger (read: uncomfortable) or use a stylus.  i'm not sure too many people could work with a stylus in each hand.

...but there is nothing that states nintendo couldn't move to capacitive  technology.  it costs more but still something they could do.

"capacitive  technology" has numerous disadvantages, especially for gamers.
