The 3DS for its first year and an half is doing already better than DS for my teastes.
It's possible the WiiU will be better than Wii because:
a.) The union of wiimote, tablet controller and classic contoller and high-end graphics will likely give a lot of interesting opportunities to developers, both for singleplayer and for multiplayer.
b.) I hope Nintendo has realized how important games like Mario Kart, SMB or Mario Party are for them, so I hope they will spend bigger budgets on them.
c.) (maybe) the WiiU will have a decent (at least) 3rd party support.
