Civilization on the Wii has halted as we know it DS still on track

My 2 cents:
As the title says Civilzation has been stalled to give them more manpower to develop the DS, 360, and PS3 versions of the new Civilization Revolution game coming to consoles April 1st 08. I like the Civilization series and hope this one will be just as good and will be a good game for"casuals" as well as the "hardcore"

Many months ago publisher 2K Games and developer Firaxis jointly announced that a Wii build of Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution was underway alongside Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo DS incarnations. However, 2K Games confirmed to IGN Wii today that the Wii iteration of the real-time strategy game has been put on indefinite hold.

"Development for the Wii version of Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution is currently on hold," a spokesperson for 2K Games said. "We are focusing our attention on creating the best possible Civilization experience for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Nintendo DS platforms."

Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution offers players a chance to experience the epic empire-building world of Civilization in an all new accessible, visually immersive, and action-packed world specifically designed for the console and handheld gamer. There are 16 civilizations to master and lead to victory, with an array of famous historical leaders to play as or compete against, and accessible maps and streamlined time scale for quicker games, intense combat, and constant action.
