So I was looking at ticket sales again & apparently TDK & Avatar sold pretty much near equal tickets...or Avatar only sold a few million more. Both are around 75 Million tickets sold in the US. The boxofficemojo calculations were wrong (according to very reputable posters on the boxoffice.com forums).
This would mean since Titanics enormous 120 Million US ticket sales the movie that is highest after it is in fact Star Wars Ep 1 : Phantom Menace with 86 Million tickets sold.
Will we ever get a movie that will sell more than Star Wars episode 1 in tickets in america? Since nothing has sold higher tickets than it since its release back in 1999.
Sorry it's just whenever something like Avengers blows up I have to somehow turn it around and remind people of who is boxoffice king... *weeps*
