I don't think the ipad is touching 360/PS3 much at all TBH. They compete for very similar consumer with almost identical libraries and if you consider the sum of their joint sales you have to figure saturation and length of time on the market is the main issue.
Take just the US, between 360/PS3 60 million HD consoles have been sold - 60 million! Even allowing for the people with both (sure to be the minority) that's a huge amount of market penetration. That's a lot of people with access to CoD, Netflix, etc. and more or less the same experience.
He describes the Wii correctly but people aren't switching to sitting with an ipad on their laps at home vs a console - I just don't buy that for a moment.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
