honestly i'm in the "nintendo knows best" boat. I have yet to not enjoy a LOZ game. Are their ever little things i'd like changed? yeah, but until i work for nintendo as a lead designer, producer, or director, i think i'll just stay pleasantly surprised with all that is good in zelda. Epic journeys, an engrossing story and a solid time tested battle system. One of my favorite things isn't how fresh each zelda is, but how reliable it is. I know it's not going to dissapoint me like alot of franchises have in the past. I've mentioned this on other posts, but to recapitulate; i never feel grabbed into a zelda game right away and, in fact, i always start the game feeling pretty skeptical, It always takes me a while to get into it. But, by the time it's over it, without fail, becomes my newest favorite single player game of all time. In the single player category, for me, simply no game can compete with a main entry title from the legend of zelda series.
*multiplayer on the other hand? starcraft and possibly starhawk may just never be replaced.
