3D affecting battery life is the crappiest excuse anyone could pull out of their asses, no offense (and I know that's not your PoV Mnementh so don't worry). The 3D effect can in effect be switched off, so if you really are battery conscious, don't be an idiot while you're portable; turn the 3D off.
