It's hard to see any negativ.. :)

Sales can only say "People wanted to buy such a thing at such a price, and during such a period", or "People didn't want to buy such a thing at such a price, and during such a period". It doesn't give an idea as to what price would be better (unless you have that sales data to say so), it doesn't say who wants it, who doesn't. All that requires external analysis and guesswork (or insider knowledge), unless some kind of survey is done, but even those are not always reliable.
