Was 3D a bad decision for the 3DS?

They show with the Video-application some 3D-made movies. Render-movies like Big Buck Bunny or puppet movies like Shaun the sheep. Nothing really big, but the 3D-short-movies are there. Or do you mean long movies? How should they delivered?

I am talking feature length films such as Avatar, Titanic, Up, Tintin and such.
