Vita sales will explode this holidays...

With Call of Duty and Assassins Creed Vita is gonna beast in US and EU.

What do they have for Japan though ?

Do you really think AC or even CoD will have such an impact? They will not. These are games that people want to play on consoles not on a handheld. To be true, there is not even one game in sight for the Vita that will drive the sales up. In fact in one year from now Sony will ditch the Vita and the 3DS will be the last gaming handheld.

im not saying it will move as much Vitas as it moves Xboxs but it will move some thousand maybe a milion.

It won't. It'll move maybe 40k for the Vita one week, on top of the holiday boosts, but nothing major.

What you've got to remember is that, what the Vita REALLY needs, is exclusives. Currently, it doesn't have all that many quality exclusives, and so 'watered down' ports of the PS360/WiiU versions will not really make a huge difference, similar to the increase in sales for the Wii when a new COD is released, for example.

When the Vita gets exclusives, like Gran Turismo, Final Fantasy, Monster Hunter etc., then the sales will increase. No ports will do that.

It'll move much more then just 40K, remember Assassin's Creed PSP? It's at 1.5 million sales. Call of Duty PSP? That's at 2 million as well. I think people are underestimating the power of CoD and Assassin's Creed here, it may not move millions, but certainly more than just 40K.

Yes, and they launched around 4 years after the system launched, and acted as an 'evergreen' title (FW for Bloodlines was 35k, COD 6k). IF a console which has an install base of 50 million can only shift 35,000 copies of a game in its first week, what hope will a console which (at the time) will have 4-5mil install base?

No-one's gonna go out and think 'Assassin's Creed/COD on the Vita? I must go out and buy a Vita NOW!', are they? As such, a 40k boost in HW sales seems about right. And, looking at these figures, even that looks a bit tricky...

I'm not denying the sales potential, and yes, they'll likely hit a million. But HW boost will be next to nonexsistance.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
