Perhaps I should note that download size is always smaller than the HDD size because the game can be compressed for digital delivery. So a 10 GB game on the disc won't be a 10 GB download. But even if that comes out to be just a 5 GB download (figure just for debate purposes) you can't lock downloads to 5 GB because the games will get bigger. Currently believed to be 25 GB per layer. So it could go to 50 GB or even 75 GB if it's capable of triple layering. My point is you don't want to lock down the download cap to a level equal to launch title file sizes because game sizes certainly will nto stay that small. |
well, that was actually the initial point i was trying to make. If Nintendo wants to go the way of digital distribution, they will have to make sure people can fit lots of games on their HDD, and a size limit would be one of the first ideas that would come to mind. that is all i am saying.
“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”
