Believe it or not this is a great deal for both MS and the consumer. The people that will see this as a horrible deal already own a console so it's pointless to them, but for folks that don't have $400 on hand this works out Great. I remember being younger and wanting a 360 really really bad when it still cost $450 bucks for the most basic not including XBL or Wifi. I sure as hell would have rather paid $100 upfront, got everything I wanted and then payed the rest later on saving me the hassle of trying to save it up all together and having to wait. I was about 14 at the time so don't give me a hard time about not having a job.
