Micaiah's new design is worse, but that doesn't make Elincia's new design acceptable. Women in Fire Emblem used to have classy designs, so "armor" like Elincia's really feels off.

I agree that it's better than Micaiah's (but so's anything really), but this isn't a new addition to the series. 

I mean, Lyn, Mist, Slyvia and Tethys, to name a few, have all had equally suspicious art design as Elincia's, and Sonia is probably worse. You ignore the fact she's a Queen (which she isn't in this game), and you'll see her armour is not too far away from that of your standard pegasus knight.

But yeah. It does seem to be a worrying trend that the lades are showing more flesh in these games. Probably to appeal more to the Japanese, after all...
