I think it's more like: "Hey, casual gamers! How nice of to come aboard the Wii! Now, would you please stay here for a moment while I go and get back the core gamers who went to the other systems."

Right, and we see what a good idea it was to make them wait with the 3DS.  Things worked out really well for Nintendo last year, didn't they?
