I know, and that's true. It still doesn't answer the question, why the different approach to partnerships for the Wii, when the cube got them. The philosophy must have been different, it seems to be the best answer we honestly have.

For the HD twins, here is a worldwide graph of the curves between them and the Wii, for discussion

But since this seems to be a more American phenomenon I provided the US version:

Because it takes two parties for a partnership. It should be well established that third parties assumed that every option other than Nintendo would make them more money. And once things didn't go the way third parties wished for, they publicly talked down on the Wii, its owners and Nintendo. That's a sure sign that they didn't want to develop for the Nintendo system and if they don't want to, then Nintendo can't form partnerships.

If you go into a random bar, approach a random woman, ask her to have sex with you and she answers "no", what can you do? Nothing really, unless you are willing to pay dearly for it in one way or another.

Are we talking about the same 3rd parties? Capcom, Namco, Sega, Factor 5, Silicon Knights. I know that the last 2 went a different route for reason much more important than Nintendo shunning. But I don't remember either of the 1st three publicly talking down on the Wii, its owners and certainly not Nintendo.

Are you maybe blurring things a little?
