And that security blanket only exists because Sony had an unbeatable success in the gaming consoles business that Microsoft is still trying to achieve. So it's more than a security blanket, it's an enormous achievement that is a part of videogaming history and, naturally, Sony fans cherish it. You keep trying to play down everything Sony related, it'll get you nowhere fast.

Microsoft is still struggling to understand the industry. Sony got it down on the first try. Giving third parties a voice when other companies ignored them while creating a fleet of gaming devs themselves.
