| naruball said: I remember most people saying that 2011 was going to be the best year for ps3 in terms of exclusives, not sales. Considering the fact that most games were sequels, I don't think most regular visitors actually thought they would have such an impact on sales. I think you're downlplaying the turnaround the ps3 pulled. Can you think of a single console that managed to go from a dead last weekly/yearly position to a close first? The ideas on the "chalkboard" helped the sales tremendously, hence the enthusiasm and praise by certain users. Even the Move helped sales a lot, even though it is considered a major failure chiefly by non ps3 fans/owners. Just look at the weekly sales the first month the Move was released. Having said that, I see the same attitude from ps3 fans about the success of 3ds. After all the doom and gloom, it managed to have impressive sales and all I see is people pointing out the price cut. Sure, it did help, but how many people expected such massive difference in sales? |
That's what I said in my previous post. It helped, but not to the degree people were hoping, certainly not to the point of dominance like a lot of delusional people were saying (kinda reminds me of this thread's OP).
