Though I'm not sure I see the value of giving a Vanguard Barrier (especially if he's a Krogan) and Vanguard - Nova = questionable efficiency.

They could probably add a skill tree perk in which Barrier adds a % of damage to Nova, given that it increases the Biotic Barrier value. Other than that, I agree with the questionable efficiency of this combo, though as a Krogan Vanguard, I would rarely use Nova itself.
