Sorry Spurge, gonna have to disagree with you there big time. I enjoyed the hell out of GC and the two-dozen or so titles I picked up for it from launch until demise, and I still pop most of them in every once in awhile (can never get enough of F-Zero GX!)
The Wii, not so much. I had a great first year with it (mid '07-mid '08) with quality titles like Prime 3, Galaxy, Brawl (even though I hated it) and MK Wii, then it was all downhill from there with only 1 or 2 games out per year that actually interested me, untill finally 2011 came and the system was pretty much dead to me. My total library for the Wii is less than a dozen titles, which is by far the fewest of any Ninty console I own save for the handhelds. And some of them barely even qualify as games (Wii Play and Wii Fit).
So yea, for all it's incredible sales success, overall the Wii was a huge disappointment for me in failing to live up to its potential and giving me the same level of satisfaction I enjoyed with every Nintendo console prior, and hopefully one day with the Wii U.
