I've said for a long time now, that Sony shouldnt try another PS2-PS3 jump in power. Its too costly and the results aren't seen for 2-3 Years after release.
Slightly more powerful than the PS3 would be just fine. Affordable, powerful, easy to develop for... Would be perfect.
