I think the wii crash and burned at the end of its lifecycle because the games look so bad.

I don't think taht it's going to be less powerful than a PS3. because that's just a bunch of negative publicity.

Also having good gameplay is great, and all. But still having bad graphics even if it's stylized well is still a fault, no matter how you spin it. Wii games resolution is quite bothersome

However I play them on my computer, and they look pretty good. (Xenoblade, Last Story, Zelda)

If it wasn't for the poor resolution Super Mario Galaxy would have looked even more beautiful than it already did. Even if they were to make the specs weaker than Xbox 360 I'm confident that Nintendo's games will still look breathtaking.

It does look pretty great

But if it's weaker I can't imagine 3rd party support would be good which I'd think is something nintendo's trying to address with this console.

I just don't see what they're generally aiming for with the wii-u. Because that tablet controller can't be cheap so I worry about the price-point, if they're making a console that ends up being more expensive than a PS3 or 360 but with worse graphics and a controller that may or not be a hit. That seems quite risky to me. It would be  a shame if ninty decided to go the sony route and anually lose money :P. Maybe I'll understand more when the official specs/price point comes out. But now I'm a bit perplexed.

But again, I thought the ipad was going to fail and I was completely wrong.
