To give a direct reply to "So can we still say that Sony games don't sell on Sony systems?" No. What we can say is some games don't, some games do. The games that do are Uncharted, GT and to a lesser extent GOW, LBP and MGS.

Once an Uncharted game achieves higher first week sales without a humongous amount of bundling than God of War III which was hardly bundled at all then maybe it'll be considered more of a system seller, initial sales is when the majority of the profit rolls in because after a couple of weeks the price drops (I bought Uncharted 3 for £20 or £25 new just 3 weeks after launch from Dixons, most places had already dropped it to £30), God of War sold more faster without mass bundling and had that bloody expensive Trilogy edition which cost £120 and sold about 25k fw which is £3,000,000 in revenue alone + £52,000,000 from the standard edition which means a massive £55,000,000 fw week revenue which is £28,000,000 profit first week, I guarantee that's more than UC3's fw especially since a lot of its sales were a result of being given away free due to mass bundling on a scale pretty much level with Motorstorm, R:FOM and LittleBigPlanet. Even if it has good legs, it'll need to sell many millions when it's at £15-20 (which it isn't far off) to make a big profit for Sony, I don't know why some people think UC is so successful and that it's catching up Gears when Gears 3 wasn't bundled at all outside of a limited edition console bundle which doesn't count obviously and it sold over 3 million in its first week which is £120,000,000 in revenue + however many of the epic editions that were £100 sold (probably from 3-5 million in revenue), no matter how great UC3s legs are it will never be nearly as profitable lifetime as Gears 3.
Also, pimping Kratos out to non-Sony franchise games like Mortal Kombat and Soul Calibur makes money for Sony, as does tons of fan merchandise like Kratos masks, Blade replicas, action figures, statues, branded clothing, key chains, mugs, artwork, comic books, a best-selling soundtrack (according to Sony)... The merchandise obviously sells well because they bring new things out every year and at the end of the day it's all income for Sony from the God of War franchise, Uncharted doesn't come close to all that because it hasn't got nearly as many passionate fans as God of War has in the real world who'd even buy that stuff, a quick search on Facebook for fan groups shows the largest GOW one at 2.40 million and only 0.47m for Uncharted, obviously neither account for all fans but there's a huge difference.
GT and God of War are Sony's biggest IP's, then to a lesser extent Uncharted, and then to an even lesser extent LBP, Killzone, Resistance, Heavy Rain, Infamous and so on.
On topic, Twisted Metal is a flop commercially and critically, a shame really since I really liked TM: Black, I'll buy it for old time's sake when it's at a bargain bin price.
