Not really. The more we hear about the Wii U being on par with current generation consoles, the more I can see third parties treating it exactly as they did the Wii. More problematically, the tablet controller seems more like an attempt to get on board with an existing fad than it does an attempt to do something new. If this is supposed to be Nintendo's answer to the iPad, then it is the same sort of answer that the Playstation Move was to the Wiimote: late and completely insufficient.
