I remember reading an article of a small wireless powered chip a few years back, and how inefficient it was just in order to make it functional. It seems things have developed faster than I thought. I'm not sure if this isn't just a big inductive charger, but a 2m range is pretty impressive thing to pull. Can't wait to read how they've done it.

In other mobile news: Nokia has patented a magnetic patch that vibrates with the magnetic field generated from your cellphone (which also powers the patch). http://blogs.wsj.com/tech-europe/2012/03/20/nokia-patents-vibrating-tattoos/
