Skies of Arcadia was the last RPG (or one of the last RPGs) of the RPG golden age, before the home console genres became sparser with releases, and got perverted with things that made them more similar to action adventure games. It was also one of the best in my opinion. It used a battle system that was related to Chrono Trigger, that is, it had a light-tactical system; although encounters were random, and Chrono Trigger's were scripted to specific areas. Characters were also very similar in attitude, and the game shared a lot of the mood of Chrono Trigger.
Skies of Arcadia was also, in my opinion, one of the games that made the Dreamcast a great console that - was became incredibly underrated by people who never owned a Sega system and hated Sega for an irrational reason. Unfortunately, Sega was in debt around a billion dollars, and the Dreamcast had become a heavily pirated system (there seemed to be many more people with collection of pirated games than collections of actual games).
I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
