People who know what the heck they're talking about always placed PS3 incrementally ahead of 360 in overall technical prowess. Carmack was constantly talking "tech mumbo jumbo" where PS3 and 360 faltered. The general consensus I've seen is the PS3 looks to be about 5% "more powerful" than the 360. I find that minimal difference to be enough for either system to show off the best we have to see on consoles. Even when PS3 is the lead platform, I've never been inclined to believe multiplats can deliver something of Xbox's Chaos Theory to prove just how much more powerful the machine is. The reason I put the "is producing" part is to the incline that the hardware difference is so minimal that it's up to the developers to make the real console graphics kings. Whenever you post pics of GoW3 and the Uncharted series, lets start looking toward the hand-crafted engines, rather than "the C3LL". In fact, you essentially lose 10 credibilty points every time you bring up "the cell" with me. |
