You should try to watch OHMSS before next Monday.  It's undoubtedly the most underrated Bond film ever.

I don't know why they got Roald Dahl (or if he was a Bond fan), but for some reason the original script writer backed out at the last instant.

So they said, "You know what? We need some zaniness added to an already zany movie. Lets hire the Willy Wonka guy!"

So from our conversation before and without checking out imdb.com you are saying Connery comes back for two movies after Lazenby?

The one after OHMSS is Diamonds Are Forever.  Then Connery doesn't return again until the 80's in the unofficial Bond movie and Thunderball remake, Never Say Never Again.  It was actually in some theaters at the same time as Octopussy.
