I would actually say that this site's community is fairly Sony-oriented. In 2007 the site was dominated by Nintendo fans and most of the mods and users were Nintendo fans (and it was a pretty incredible moment when the Wii first passed the 360 in worldwide sales). Then MGS4 launched in 2008. It was the first time the PS3 ever had a really huge hit game and it was the first time the PS3 ever had a significant sales boost from an exclusive. After the sales disappointment of so many exclusive games (Lair, Heavenly Sword, etc.), seeing the success of MGS4 was like a blessing for a system that at the time was struggling greatly. There was a huge influx of PS3 fans after that game launched and the site has maintained a fairly strong Sony community ever since.

Really I think the community is pretty balanced all things considered. There might be fewer 360 fans than PS3 or Wii fans but overall I'd say we have a good variety of users on this site (well, except for PC gamers!).

I agree... I started coming here in mid-2007 and officially joined in late '07 when I started following the weekly charts, and at the time there was alot of Ninty fans and a good portion of Sony fans too... I'd say the split was 60/40 in favor of Nintendo, with like 0.01 M$ fans lol.

I think the reason there's alot less people who identify as 360 gamers / fans first on here is because there's alot of overlap there, where most 360 owners are former or still current Ninty / Sony / even Sega fans that made the switch this generation for any number of reasons (no HD-type games on Wii, PS3 being too expensive initially, etc), but they still identify with their roots.  I'd put myself in this category... big 360 gamer this generation, but every generation prior I was a Nintendo-only guy, until I picked up a PS2 late last gen because I was missing out on too many good games.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.
