Silly question but, do they really need to patent the use of and HD screen, 3D screen or both for a product they have already patented to have a controller with a screen?
Anyway, I don't really care for the 3D part (although they would possible use the same 3D tech of the 3DS, meaning a 3DS XL more likely), and for the HD part, do we even know if the screen used since last E3 is sub HD or HD Ready (720p)?
Well, at least Nintendo is preparing for what can be needed in the (near) future.
