My vote is no. Why? Because of the market split. PS2 always had a huge market share lead and already had 90% of the 3rd party support when it launched thanks to a successful psx. Wii does not have either of those. It will have to take the 3rd pary support from the others and keep up its very high sell through rate even in 3+ years when the ps3 and 360 games look tremendously better. Think Gears of War x 2. They are both probably capable of near photorealism in game. Granted, graphics are not what is most important, but with the harddives and power they are capable of more expansive and overall greater games. I have said for a long time now I believe Nintendo is not stupid and will realize this after about year 3 and plan on a WiiHD or similar after 5 year mark. If that is counted as part of its overall sales (like ds and dsl are considered same) then, yes it may beat ps2 sales. If the WiiHD is too much of a difference then no, Wii will have a 6yr cycle and do really well, like 60m, but not beat ps2.
