It was mostly intended from a single-plat perspective, or people who didn't purchase them on the HD twins. For example, a Wii owner this gen may want a Bioshock, ME or Assassin's creed collection. Someone who had the HD twins but not the Wii would want an HD remaster of the Red Steel duo, or an HD remaster of the Prime trilogy. Things like that ;)
