I thought that you were joking and looked into it.  Apparently Tom Jones really did open up the BAFTAs by singing the Thunderball theme a day ago.

What in the world made him bring this song out there? How about "Whats new Pussy cat"?

I guess that the BAFTAs was celebrating the cinematic career of Bond.

"What's New Pussycat?" is good, but I like "It's Not Unusual" and "Delilah" better. 

I hope that granny panties didn't fly onstage during Tom Jones performance of Thunderball...
