To be honest I don't know if that texture pack is such a big deal. There should be (haven't checked yet) texture packs with insane resolutions on skyrimnexus.
I remember my Fallout 3 crashed a lot of times because I used 8k textures all of the place. My PC could handle it, but the game simply couldn't. Especially if you modded the ini file for viewing distance.
