Though I definitely don't believe that this has any relation to Final Fantasy VII. I would not be suprised if the Vita actually would be the one to recieve that remake. They can't complain that it would take "dozens of years" or what-ever. It would have the graphical boost to satisfy the fans, and give them the experience they want. Not only that but development costs would be reduced significantly by not creating it for the HD consoles.

That's a touchy subject, I don't even know what they are going to do with it.
They eventually will have to do something with Final Fantasy VII, when and what platform is what we don't know though. I can see it happening if the Vita takes off and has the right audience, but I think it will be a PS4 title.
