In fact Wii peaked in 2008, and DS peaked in 2007/08 with 2008 being better but for a "small" difference, witch means that 3DS should peak in 2013, also iwata said that 3yr of 3DS will be the decisive year of it, and that year will mark the future of that handheld. Like Game Boy Advance to GB I think 3ds will sell less lifetime than DS did anyway.
