some of you guys don't realize this is a pr statement. Of course the xbox is competing with nintendo. And of course microsoft knows that. They've said it themseleves that they are trying to take the casual market with kinect. That statement was made in the hopes of preventing microsoft from getting heat for not releasing the nextbox alongside the wii u.
I doubt the xbox will announce any new ips that aren't kinect related for e3. But then again that doesn't really matter. I mean other than Sorcery, every single ps3 game I plan on picking up this year will be multiplatform. Yes it sucks for the more "hardcore" gamer who buy 30 console games a year and thinks only sony should be allowed to make sequels and anyone else doing so is milking it. But to the vast majority of people, it doesn't matter.
