Should 2D Mario 3DS be Wii-U compatible like Smash Bros?

I thought for a long time that the Poke-pedometer with Heart Gold and Soul Silver was kind of a precursor to 3DS functionality. Now, if they expand on that for more games... yeah... yeah...

It also kinda follows with Nintendo's emphasis on 'peak graphics'.

They must have realised long ago that once the home systems graphics peak then mobile wouldn't be far behind. The visual difference between their mobile and home system now is near negligible given most of Nintendo's stuff is 'cartoony'/easily scaleable.

Obviously it has the potential to 'half' software sales.
