Well I dont care TBH. I have no idea

This is where I stopped.

You have your own opinions, but don't use them as facts.  I think we need more info about this game to make a judgment like that.

You are correct BUT, you do have to admit that the first glimpse we got out of the game promised us one generic shooter. NOTHING in it looked like something trully original and never before seen. I mean Starhawk, as a spacecombat/shooter has a far better premisse then this game. I would be more then glad if the game got raving reviews, but I doubt that it will happen. It will be a nobel experiment IMO.

Also I cant grasp the financial viability of this game. Why PS3? Why not PC? EVE has ~350k active users, and I doubt that many EVE players will jump in this FPS rump. I mean best case, the game could sell what? MAybe if its lucky a million copies, and then have like 100k active users? And that would be a stellar achievement. I doubt that many CoD, Battlefield or KZ players will pick up this instead of their favorite title.

I hope that I am wrong, and that the game will be great or at least good ( I want as many good games to be released as everybody else, beleiev me) but Im just not seeing it . CCP is not a big enough, or diverse enough team, to create a qulity FPS... like it or not, except the fairly well known, yet niche EVE, they never created anything else. I trully hope that Sony is at least funding them, so they can at least hire some talent Again, Im not hating on the game before its released, I just have some concernes about the quality of the final product

How is Dust not original while Starhawk is? This kind of integration between two different games has never been done before as far as I know. Sony made CCP an exclusivity offer of course, which is the reason they're not making a PC/360 version. I believe they were planning on making it PC/360/PS3 in the beginning.

Yeah, the integration sounds good, agreed on that, but what about the FPS element alone? Did you even see how dull the gameplay looked? I mean come on, yet agains the same gray sci-fi setting we all know and played hundreds of times before? Its just like the WW2, and now the modern setting: its dull. the integration sound amazing, and grand in scope, but I doubt that the playerbase will be there to suppport it. I know that for 64 player battles you dont need fully loaded servers all the time, but it still needs a good ammount of players.

In modern days, when fast-paced pick-up and play FPSs dominate the market ( BF beeing the only popular exception) I dont see the mass apeal for the game. I respect CCP for being able to sustain a solid fanbase with EVE, I dont want them to go under, just because they undertook a massive project, and that project sunked them.

Again, Im not hating, I just dont see the financial viability of the game. But if you do feel free to share it with me, its a new concept indeed and Im open and interested to other point of views
