Final Fantasy 6, 7, & 8 are my favorites in the series - The SNES version of FF6 (Final Fantasy III) is still the highest quality version of the game as future iterations all had issues with them (loading times on the PSX version ruined it, and the GBA version doesn't hold up graphically or audio wise and has bugs in it). Also the SNES translation is the best, and it was one of the first RPGs (if not the first) ever released that had a good translation (although Xenogears and FF8 were the first to have great translations).

It is also a FAR more rewarding game than Super Metroid and Link to the Past. In my opinion, a far superior game, and I wouldn't hesitate to pick it up over both of those games combined (same goes for Chrono Trigger).

On a side note about Chrono Trigger, the DS.version has bad inferior animations and the game ends up feeling less powerful as a result. I HIGHLY recommend playing the Virtual console version over the DS version. The DS version is good for the extra story bits; but I actually found them to be fairly dumb and unsatisfying, and actually kind of ruined the mystique of the unknown by presenting it as something much inferior to all previous speculation.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
