The Dual Shock 4 should take some ques from Nintendo and Microsoft. Swap the d-pad and the left joystick. Give the joysticks concave tops rather than convex. Add real triggers. Replace the four button style d-pad with a real plus + shaped one. Make it a little bigger so it fits adult hands better. Change the shape so it doesn't jab into the palms of your hands.
While we're on the subject, I'd like Nintendo to recombine their controller instead of the Wii-Mote Nun-chuck combo. I don't care if it's designed to come apart into two controller so long as I can play regular games without having to get out a second controller. Yes I'm aware that the Wii U is going to have that giant tablet controller with the twin sticks. But rumors suggest that at most the system will only work with two of them and that it will use regular Wii controllers when your not using the tablet controller. I just want Nintendo to give us more standard shaped controllers again.
As for Microsoft. I want built in rechargeable batteries. A standard plus shaped d-pad, and flat face buttons. Other than that it's nearly perfect.
