Haha, that's also true, when you actually need help, there is none to get. 95% of all the "advice" Fi gives you is a waste of time and just takes fun out of the game. People thought Navi was annoying? navi barely says anything during the entire OOT, he basically just reminds you that you should go to this area or that area if you have been mucking about for a while. But you dont need that in Skyward Sword either, because the save file tells you what quest you are currently on. (This I actually like tho, nice if you have not played for a long time, you load the save and you forgot what you were doing last).
Good thing Fi is stuck in the master sword forever, but I am sure they will find new sidekicks to waste your time.
