They never really bothered me. I prefer this over regular controls but thats personal preference of course

I enjoyed Skyward Sword quite a lot.  I prefered it over OoT, MM, and TP to some extent as well.
But with WW and TP (on GameCube), they refined the "classic controls" to make them literally flawless.  Now with Skyward Sword, controls, while very fun, did have issues.

When I have to trade controls without any issues with controls that do have issues, the question isn't really difficult to answer for me as to what I prefer.

That being said, SS is the first game in the series with such controls.  It took them 3 games to get to the flawless "classic" controls (with WW).  So I suppose things will get better in the upcoming games...
