This is what I was thinking if the differences are only in the firmware, but they've surely added some hardware obstacles to stop people buying the Xbox version. Anyways, this is good news (been waiting since last year), and now looking forward to the Win8 TV OS using Kinect just after the UbuntuTV anouncement this CES.
