It depends where it's heading.... If this is it then I preferred the old system.. however if more options are added then it will be better.

I like that Europe is it's own region for example, but the other PAL regions within AP/EMA should be accessible too, rather than having to subtract Japan and vaguely figuring out which consoles sell in which of these small regions.

What I would like to see, but that is hopefully not outside the realms of possibility is this:

Global Americas U.S.A.
Canada
Other Americas
Europe UK
France
Germany
Spain
Italy
Other Europe
Other global Japan
Australia & New Zealand
Others

So each of the above will have their own chart page, and it clear that the more individual charts fit into the larger region charts, and they fit into global.

I understand that ioi doesn't get direct data from many countries (though I would be surprised if he doesn't from Canada, Australia, Spain and Italy... even if there are currently no charts for them) but it would be nice to view what is being estimated in these other regions directly instead of trying to work it out. Then again I can see ioi's position on this because people generally don't understand how statistics and extrapolation works. So if there is a specific chart for "other Americas" which is meant for Mexico + central and South America, and someone comes along with a shipped figure for S.America and Mexico that disproves some of VGCs figures, people start arguing that ALL VGC figures are therefore null and void.

Still, I think the way to get past the ignorant is to be as clear as possible, and not hide things... even if sometimes it can take time and effort to get people to understand.
