Quite disappointing. Ninja Gaiden's only appeal to me was the difficulty. If I want to play an easy hack and slash I would much prefer god of war with it stunning set pieces and incredible looking enemies, then ninja gaiden with generic ninjas and almost comical looking bosses. Maybe they are trying to lure some casuals considering there hasn't been any big budget mass appeal hack and slash since well god of war 3.
