Well, Im a beta tester so Ive had the Dashboard for a month now. My first expressions were: "Wow, I can move around the dashboard much faster" However I did find many bugs but they were ironed out by Microsoft before the official release....Thanks to us Beta testers 
Pros: I found the old dashboard pretty cramped specially when it comes to searching for games in the marketplace but now they've implemented the "Metro style" Tabs which is pretty AWESOME. Its got full integration of kinect and full voice recognition. I also found the dashboard pretty modern and pretty sleek. Plus the entertainement partners increased from 3 to 50!!! It also has the new Beacon system which is pretty awesome. You can track your friend's activities and tell them automatically if you want to play a certain game or not.

Take note that not all of the apps posted above are still in beta so I have some of them but im still testing them out...
